Ministries

United Methodist Men

United Methodist Men is a creative supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily His will.  Their primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.

The United Methodist Men usually meet on the second Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM in Hodnett Hall.

The four stated goals of the United Methodist Men are:

  1. To help men grow spiritually
  2. To become partners in ministry with the clergy
  3. To connect with young people (especially the young men) of the church
  4. To have an accountable male friend in Jesus Christ

All men in the church and community are welcome to attend the United Methodist Men meetings and join them in their mission and ministries.  They also provide incredible pancake breakfasts that we all can look forward to.  These guys can cook!

Worship Team

The Worship Team assists in the advance planning of the worship service experience, both on Sunday mornings and for special occasions.

The team also serves as an Altar Guild in preparing the appropriate materials for display in the sanctuary according to the liturgical calendar.

The team coordinates with our Pastor, with our Worship Leader, and with the PowerPoint preparation as well as all others involved in making the worship service experience not only run smoothly but be uplifting, too.  They usually meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM.

Nurture and Membership Care Ministry

The Visitation/Communion Team brings the Word as well as fellowship, companionship, and a friendly face to those who are shut in at home and at care centers and are unable to attend worship.  Communion is usually served.

The Medical Equipment Ministry is blessed to have a vast inventory of medical equipment available on loan not just to members of the church but to anyone in need.  We have wheelchairs, crutches, canes, bath and shower chairs, bedside commodes, walkers, etc.  These items can be signed out from our medical equipment room or they can be delivered to an individual at home or in a facility, if necessary, with just a phone call or email to the ministry leaders or the church office.
